Tell us a little bit about yourself

I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I reside on the west side of Chicago and volunteer as a community/youth engagement specialist on the south and west side of Chicago. I enjoy traveling and working as a regional flight attendant.

How did you first hear about the Israel Idonije Foundation?

I was introduced to the Israel Idonije Foundation after interviewing Israel Idonije at a Kanye West event rewarding children with perfect attendance.

There are a lot of great causes to support, what made you select the Israel Idonije Foundation as a cause you believe in?

I decided to support the Israel Idonije foundation for its focus on attendance and the development of social and emotional skills of youth within urban communities. Such skills help students express themselves and become comfortable with who they are as individuals. I believe that once a child becomes secure with who they are that they understand they can accomplish anything they put their mind to with passion, drive and education.

It is an awesome feeling to see students wear their Izzy’z Kidz shirts on their way to and from school. I can tell that the youth are proud to be a part of something positive.

What would you say to others to encourage them to support the Israel Idonije Foundation?

I encourage others to support Team IIF because there are genuine people involved within the program that really care about the advancement and encouragement of the youth. The programs that stem from the Israel Idonije Foundation serve as fundamental experiences that will assist in developing productive and impactful youth transitioning into adulthood.
